Admission to Cedarville University is test optional, and students are not required
to submit test scores to be admitted to the University.
When test scores are submitted with an application to Cedarville, scores will be
considered in the admission decision.
High school students seeking to take courses for dual credit may want to submit
test scores at the time of application for the following reasons:
To meet College Credit Pluseligibility requirements (Ohio students only)
To meet Cedarville proficiency requirements for math or English courses 
To demonstrate readiness for academic coursework at Cedarville*

*The state of Ohio allows universities to establish relevant coursework to determine college readiness.
Cedarville has determined that relevant coursework consists of completion of at least 0.5 high school
credits in math, English, social studies and science with a grade of A or B in each subject. Students who
have taken some high school coursework but do not meet this minimum will be required to provide
proficient test scores for admission to the Dual Enrollment program.
