The Choir numbers around 40
enthusiastic members, male and
female, who enjoy singing a very
varied repertoire.
We welcome new members,
whether experienced singers or not.
There is no voice test and no
audition - and it is not necessary that
you read music. Thanks to various
initiatives of recent years, singing
and choirs have again become
fashionable and the health and well-
being benefits have been proved
beyond doubt. We also take great
delight from the pleasure we give to
our audiences!

Aimed at people who are retired or
working towards retirement, we are
a group of people who listen to a
wide selection of music, usually on
CD but occasionally on DVD, chosen
by the members of the group in turn.
The music we hear is generally
"classical" but can include folk, jazz,
musicals (and humour!). We all have
differing tastes and enthusiasms
which we enjoy sharing, and those
who have a special interest or
knowledge are welcome to share
this with the group.
We have occasional guest speakers
from the world of professional
music-making, and of course we
enjoy attending local recitals and
concerts.
We all feel that belonging to the
group has widened our knowledge
and enhanced our enjoyment of
genres of music that left alone we
might never have come to
appreciate.

Aimed at people who are retired or
working towards retirement, the
lessons are for absolute beginners in
Spanish or those who have tried
elsewhere and given up. Hopefully
the course will be enjoyable, light-
hearted at times but with the serious
intention of enabling members to
communicate and be understood in
everyday situations that they will
encounter in Spain or the Americas.

Aimed at those who are retired or
working towards retirement. We
have a very successful walking
group, with a good membership. Our
walks are all day meeting at Evans
Street at 9.30.a.m. There is
availability for people who would
like to share cars with a minimal
charge towards the petrol.
Our walks are between 7 9 miles
approximately through the beautiful
Welsh countryside. Paths are usually
well marked and leaders very
responsible, having pre-walked
before the day.

Our numbers have increased
considerably - there are usually over
20 of us who enjoy the
companionship of eating good food
with friends. There is plenty of
chatter and fun. Usually travel to the
venue is not a problem, as we have
kind members with cars who are
willing to take those who don't have
their own transport - passengers are
asked to give about £1 each to the
driver towards the cost of petrol etc.
