ELIGIBILITY: Per Central and Rocky Mountain Division qualification criteria.
ENTRY FEE: $560. Includes all race entry fees, athlete credential which includes lift tickets at Steamboat Ski Resort
Mar 7-9 & 11 and lift tickets at Howelsen Hill Mar 8-10, SL training on Mar 8, athlete welcome bag, event T-shirt,
lunch on 3/10 and souvenir bib. Reduced price for IKON passholders is $520, you will receive a $40 refund and will
not receive a lift ticket for Steamboat Ski Resort. No discount/refund for athletes not competing in all events.
ENTRY PROCEDURE: There are three registration steps. Please complete ASAP, deadline March 1.

Gondola Square Steamboat Ski Resort; Tuesday, March 8 12:30-2:30pm Howelsen Hill Lodge
COACH CREDENTIALS: Coach credentials are for current U.S. Ski & Snowboard member coaches only who are
listed by the clubs team captain and listed on the Team Coach Entry Form on the event website. It includes lift
access and food on race days. Coach credentials will be awarded based on the following: 1-5 athletes = 1
credential; 6-10 athletes = 2 credentials; 11-15 athletes = 3 credentials; 16-20 athletes = 4 credentials; 21+ athletes
= 5 credentials. Additional coaches listed on the form must purchase credential for $250.
PARENT/SIBLING LIFT TICKETS: A discount of 20% off the window price is available to family members, use this

will be picked up at ticket kiosks in the Steamboat Resort base area, available 24/7. A $59 Christie Peak only lift
ticket is available for racer families as well, purchase in the morning at the ticket office. Competitor tickets are
included in the entry fee. No discounts at Howelsen Hill, and family tickets arent valid until 11:00am.

LIVE VIDEO STREAMING: All races will be streamed live and can be viewed after the race. Find the links at
www.sswsc.org/events/U16Champs, on the U16 Championships page on Facebook, by searching Rocky/Central
U16 Championships on YouTube, or by saying “Rocky/Central U16 Championships on YouTube” into your TV’s
smart remote.
VENUE ACCESS: DH/SG/GS races may be accessed on foot by a short to medium hike from the base area. SL races
viewable right from the base. If skiing, there are multiple places to view the courses. Only credentialed athletes,
coaches, officials and volunteers are permitted inside the competition venue, which includes the start area.
PARKING:
Steamboat Ski Resort
Free parking available at Knoll Lot (walk to base) and Meadows Lot (short shuttle ride to base). Pay parking at
gondola parking structure or up Ski Time Square Road. There is no athlete dropoff or parking at the Steamboat
Sheraton.
Howelsen Hill
Skier drop-off directly in front of the lodge. Free parking available at the base with overflow parking by the tennis
courts and at the rodeo grounds.
VOLUNTEERS: Get the best view of the races and earn lift tickets by volunteering. Volunteering is the best way to

SPECIAL EVENT NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19:
The event will follow all US Ski & Snowboard, state and local, and SSWSC policies and procedures in
effect at the time of the event. Under current COVID-19 guidance, no indoor social events will be held.
The organizing committee is working on plans for an outdoor Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday, March 8,
and Wednesday night, March 9, an outdoor BBQ and athlete celebration is planned in conjunction with
the Super Combined SL. There will not be an awards banquet, but there will be in-person, outdoor
awards ceremonies after each race. On-site spectators are encouraged, be loud and bring cowbells! All
events will be live streamed.
