Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the

Teaching and Learning Online
The world can change quickly, but no matter what happens, we remain committed
to our students, our mandate and our values. At Humber, these commitments guide
us in all that we do.
With health and safety top of mind, Humber
has continued to offer both in-person and online
learning for students. We continue to prioritize
hands-on learning and nding new ways to
ensure our students get this invaluable experience.
Work-integrated learning remains to be an
important part of our program delivery. Each
program has its own approach to incorporating
these activities whether through eld and clinical
placements or industry-based projects.
Quality learning experiences and exceptional
supports are foundational to a Humber education,
whether it is delivered online or in-person.
Online learning at Humber uses the Internet,
digital classroom platforms and different types
of software. Online courses are designed by
Humber faculty using a common set of design
principles: simplicity, usability and accessibility.

Foundation Certicates (two to three semesters)
Our foundation certicates allow you to gain or upgrade the
skills you need to pursue further studies. These programs

One-year certicates allow you to establish a foundation
of knowledge in a given eld or upgrade your skills in your

Apprenticeships (three to ve years)
Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn an in-
demand skill in a variety of elds. We help get you ready for
the workplace through the in-school training component.
Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas
(four to six semesters) Our career-focused diplomas are

Science (GAS) pathways provide that opportunity
and prepare students to transfer to other Humber

Prepare for further study at college or university
with a program combining humanities, math
and sustainability courses with instruction in
academic writing and critical thinking skills.
These programs are designed for mobility
between GAS programs to support choice and

Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced
Diplomas and Degrees Certicate
(two semesters)
If you’re interested in a career in health sciences,
this program will help you build the basic science
and mathematics knowledge you’ll need. You’ll
learn writing and critical thinking skills along with
foundational knowledge in biology, chemistry,
anatomy and physiology.
Technology Certicate (two semesters)
A unique program with many pathways. Gain
important skills and knowledge in critical
thinking, math and academic writing in this
unique program with course options in tech,
IT and trades.
University Transfer Diploma (four semesters)
If your goal is to earn a diploma and go on to
degree-level studies, Humber’s General Arts and
Science — University Transfer Diploma is a great
choice for you.
FOUNDATION PROGRAMS
Our foundation programs get you ready for
post-secondary education and help you make
an informed choice for your future studies

Art Foundation Certicate
This program offers you a comprehensive
foundation in the basics of visual arts. Working in
a studio environment, you’ll explore the creative
process with different types of media.
Design Foundation Certicate
This program gives you the skills to put your
creative air and interest in arts into focus. Train
in professional design with a diverse curriculum
that features courses in interior, graphic and

HUMBER-SENECA POLYTECHNIC PARTNERSHIP
The Humber-Seneca Polytechnic Partnership (HSPP) promotes
co-operation and collaboration between Humber and Seneca
College while enhancing and expanding learning opportunities
for students at both institutions. More than 200 pathways have
been established between the two polytechnic institutions,
creating opportunities for degree completion in business,
public safety, mental health, data science and analysis and
interdisciplinary studies. This partnership will also include joint

Humber has a number of entrance scholarships, including renewable
scholarships for those who maintain an average of 80 per cent or
higher as a full-time Humber student. Scholarships are automatically

Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships offer you a chance to learn a highly skilled trade in a number of
industries. These programs offer a balance of working in your chosen trade with
an industry employer and the academic learning you need to round out your skills
development. Humber provides the required academic components towards an
apprenticeship, including technical theory and in-school training.
The rst step in any apprenticeship is to get a job
with an employer who is willing to sponsor you as
an apprentice. Apprenticeship programs are open
to domestic students only.

Get the Credit You Deserve
ARE YOU A TRANSFER STUDENT?
You are a transfer student if you have completed or partially
completed a program at a college or university and wish to
continue your studies at Humber. As a transfer student, you
can follow one of three paths:
Transfer In
You want to transfer credits or credentials from another
college or university or apply for credit based on prior
work or life experience.
Transfer Within
You are a Humber student or graduate wanting to
transfer credits or get advanced standing into another
Humber program.
Transfer Out
If you’re looking to advance your education beyond Humber
with another credential, Humber has transfer agreements
with many post-secondary institutions throughout Canada
and abroad.
TRANSFER CREDITS
If you have completed a similar course at another recognized
post-secondary institution, you may be eligible to receive
transfer credits toward your selected Humber program.

DIPLOMA TO DEGREE BLOCK TRANSFER CREDIT
Complete your degree with us in less time. Graduates of
Humber’s many Ontario college diploma prog

be eligible for block transfer credit into one of Humber’s
bachelor’s degree programs.
Graduates of similar Ontario diplomas may also be
eligible for block transfer credit into a Humber degree
program if their diploma program has the same program
learning outcomes as the Humber diploma.
PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT AND
RECOGNITION (PLAR)
PLAR is designed to recognize relevant learning acquired
through life and work experience and translate this
learning into college credit.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Humber awards degree scholarships to students
entering any Humber honours bachelor’s degree
program w
ho have completed a one-year college
certicate or two- or three-year diploma from a publicly
funded college. Students who have achieved a program
GPA of 80 per cent or higher will be awarded a one-
time scholarship of $1,500 for a certcate program or
$2,500 for a diploma program.

Putting Theory into Practice
Humber programs offer unique work-integrated learning opportunities to prepare students for their
future careers. Students apply what they’ve learned in class and in real-world environments through a
wide range of academic, community and industry partnerships. These work-integrated and experiential
learning opportunities may include eld placements, practicums, clinical placements, co-operative
education work terms, internships, applied research projects or service learning. You can work with
industry partners to help solve real-world problems or work with us to explore how to start your own
business. Students may also volunteer on- and off-campus or even participate in global opportunities.

‘living lab’ with endless learning opportunities
for the more than 19,000 students who study

Lakeshore Campus
Humber’s Lakeshore Campus is located minutes away from Toronto’s museums, theatres and
galleries, but it’s a destination all its own that offers a mix of history and innovation in the vibrant
neighbourhood of South Etobicoke.
When you study at the Lakeshore Campus, you can learn
in diverse environments, from a classroom in a historic
19th-century cottage to a booth in a state-of-the-art
